When I married my husband in 2021, I told him I wouldn’t move to Ballinger, Texas without a greenhouse and a creative space to call my own. He promised to build both—and a few years later, that promise became reality. What started as a leap of faith turned into something much more meaningful.
After moving to Ballinger, I quickly fell in love with the community and the people here. But when I first gave out my address, I was met with a lot of puzzled looks. No one seemed to know where I lived—and I began to wonder if they thought I didn’t know either. Eventually, someone kindly explained that around here, people don’t rely on farm-to-market road numbers. Instead, they simply said, “You live on River Road.”
And just like that, River Road Designs found its name.
River Road Designs is rooted in a deep love for nature, creativity, and all living things. Whether I’m designing terrariums or working in my greenhouse, I find joy in creating pieces that bring a little bit of life and calm into everyday spaces.
If you ask my husband, he’ll tell you I’d stay outside with my plants forever if I could—he’s usually the one gently pulling me away at the end of the day.
